What is Fractional CO2 Laser?

Fractional Laser is a new-generation laser that reduces or eliminates deformities in the treatment area. It is used for acne scars, stretch marks, lip lines, facial and neck wrinkles, hands, wounds, burns, cuts, and skin rejuvenation. Fractional laser treatment has recently gained prominence. Anyone over the age of 18 who is suitable for this treatment can undergo a detailed evaluation and receive advice from a specialist.

Fractional lasers remove the uppermost layer of the skin by increasing the skin's temperature and vaporizing it. With a fractional laser, the laser beams are filtered and delivered to the affected skin at intervals. Healing of the wounds created by fractional lasers occurs in a controlled manner, resulting from the proliferation of undamaged cells surrounding the laser area. Fractional lasers provide skin rejuvenation, skin renewal, pore tightening, reduction of scars and blemishes, and improved skin quality.

How Many Fractional Laser Sessions Are Applied? What is the Interval Between Fractional Laser Sessions?

Depending on the problematic skin type, the procedure can be performed at least 3-5 sessions and at 1-month intervals. Session intervals should be 3-4 weeks.

CO2 Fractional Laser Session Stages Can Be Divided Into 3 Stages:

Pre-Session

The patient describes the skin problem they wish to treat, whether it's on the face, neck, or any other part of the body. The specialist will then inform the patient of the expected results after the procedure, depending on the extent of the problem. Anesthetic cream is then applied to the area to be treated and allowed to take effect for about 20 minutes.

During the session

Twenty minutes after applying local anesthetic cream, the fractional laser beam is passed through the skin. The session begins with the application of the fractional laser beam. The session can last from 10 to 45 minutes, depending on the extent of the damage to be treated and the application area. After the session, our clinic will advise you on the necessary precautions and precautions to follow to achieve the desired results and prevent unwanted complications such as burning, itching, or sensitivity caused by the use of potentially irritating substances.

Post-Session

The pre-result phase begins after the session ends and lasts 10 days.

During this period, the patient must comply with the following:

  • The face or the treated area should be washed only with warm or cold water, without using soap or cleansing gel.
  • Cosmetic products should be avoided.
  • Avoid direct sunlight or high heat (sauna – solarium) for one month.
  • No other laser sessions should be performed during the month and should not be repeated.
  • Results begin to appear after 10 days, and differences can be noticed after two weeks, with the benefits of the laser lasting up to 90 days.

Because the laser stimulates collagen production, which is based on the renewal of skin cells, and this is a slow process that takes place in just 3 months.
